Re-meshing built
for sea spray

Every service below is priced per panel and quoted in writing. We work in apartments, so the method matters as much as the mesh.

01

Window flyscreen re-meshing

Coastal flyscreen mesh fails from the edges in. Salt crystals lodge in the weave, the coating breaks down and the panel starts to sag and stain the sill. We strip the old mesh, wash and de-salt the frame, re-square the corners and re-spline with mesh chosen for your exposure.

  • Charcoal salt-rated fibreglass mesh
  • PVC-coated aluminium for windy aspects
  • New spline, clips and corner stakes
  • Panels labelled by room on refit

From $45 per panel · 48-hour turnaround

02

Security door re-meshing

A security door with blown mesh is a screen door with a strong frame. We re-mesh grille and woven-mesh doors with 316 marine stainless, bed it in a new pressure retainer with fresh isolation tape, then re-test the lock, hinges and closer so the door still performs as a barrier.

  • Woven 316 stainless, 0.8mm aperture
  • Perforated aluminium option for sliders
  • Galvanic isolation tape throughout
  • Built to AS 5039 mesh & retainer specs

From $210 per door · on-site or leaf swap

03

Sliding & stacker screen repairs

Balcony sliders take the worst of it: salt in the track, grit under the rollers and a mid-rail that bows once the mesh loses tension. We re-mesh the panel, replace rollers with stainless equivalents, scrub the track and set the door so it glides with one finger.

  • Stainless roller and carriage swap
  • Track descale and dry lubrication
  • Mid-rail straightening or replacement
  • New brush seals to stop draughts

From $89 per panel · hardware quoted separately

04

Pet-resistant & fine-aperture mesh

If a cat uses your screen as a scratching post, standard mesh lasts a season. Heavy 7-strand pet mesh handles claws and leaning dogs. On high floors we also fit fine-aperture mesh that keeps midges and wind-driven grit out without killing the breeze.

  • 7-strand pet mesh, salt-stable coating
  • Reinforced bottom rail and extra clips
  • Midge-grade fine aperture available
  • Half-pet-mesh, half-fly-mesh splits

From $95 per panel

05

Strata & whole-building programmes

We run buildings floor by floor with one lift booking, one site contact and one invoice. Before we start, every unit gets a panel register listing sizes, mesh type and condition, so the committee can approve a scope without guesswork.

  • Written per-unit panel register
  • Volume pricing above 20 panels
  • Resident notice letters supplied
  • $20m public liability certificate on file

Quoted per building · staged invoicing available

06

Annual salt service & tune-up

The cheapest re-mesh is the one you delay by five years. Once a year we flush every screen with fresh water, clear the tracks, lubricate hardware and leave a written condition note flagging any panel heading for trouble.

  • Fresh-water flush on all panels
  • Hinges, locks and rollers serviced
  • Written condition note per screen
  • Reminder booking, cancel anytime

From $180 per apartment

How a job runs

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. 1

    Measure

We visit, measure every panel, check frames and hardware, then email a fixed per-panel quote.

  2. 2

    Remove

Panels come out wrapped and labelled. Security doors are done on site or swapped for a temporary leaf.

  3. 3

    Re-mesh

Stripped, de-salted, re-splined and tensioned at the bench in St Leonards.

  4. 4

    Refit

Back in the right rooms, tested, cleaned up, warranty issued with the invoice.

Common questions

Tap a question to open the answer.

Nine times out of ten, yes. If the frame is straight and the corners are sound, re-meshing costs a fraction of a new door. We will tell you honestly when a frame has gone and re-meshing would be throwing money away.

No. Most owners let us in for a 20-minute removal, then again for the refit. If you are away, we can arrange access with your building manager or concierge in writing.

All cutting and stripping happens at the workshop. Inside we use drop sheets, hand tools and a vacuum. Common areas are protected and cleaned before we leave.

We supply the scope, mesh specification, insurance certificate and resident notices your committee needs. Owners or the building manager submit the paperwork; we keep our documents current.

Twelve months on workmanship, spline retention and mesh tension, plus the mesh manufacturer's own coastal warranty. Accidental damage and cyclonic wind events are excluded.
