A bench, two vans
and a lot of salt
Saltline Mesh Co. is a small, owner-operated re-meshing workshop. We do not install windows, we do not sell awnings. We re-mesh screens for apartments near the water.
Started with one bad quote
In 2012 our founder, Dean Halloran, was managing a small block in North Bondi. Six security doors had rust-bloomed mesh after three summers of southerly spray. The replacement quote ran to five figures. A retired screen-maker in Brookvale looked at them and said the frames were fine — they just needed new mesh in the right grade.
Dean spent two years learning the trade off that bloke: retainer beads, spline sizes, isolation tape, why 304 stainless streaks near surf and 316 does not. Saltline Mesh Co. opened its own bench in 2014 and has been re-meshing coastal panels ever since.
Today we are a two-van crew working between Palm Beach and Cronulla, with a small workshop on Hume Street. Everything is done in-house — no subcontractors, no rotating installers, no guessing which mesh went where.

How we work
Four rules we do not bend, even on a busy week.
Right metal, always
316 stainless mesh and fixings on beachfront work. No 304, no zinc-plated screws.
Honest scope
If a frame is finished, we say so and hand back the panel rather than charging for mesh that will fail.
Respect the building
Lifts protected, corridors swept, residents notified. Strata managers rebook us for this alone.
Price before tools
A written per-panel price arrives before anything is removed. Variations need your approval.
Where we work
We stay within the salt zone, because that is where our knowledge is worth paying for. If your building is more than a few kilometres inland, we will happily point you to a general screen repairer instead.
