Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Saltline Mesh Co. re-meshes flyscreens and security doors for apartment owners and strata schemes along the Sydney coast. Our workshop is at Hume Street 36, 2065 Sydney. You can reach us on 351 924 360 723 or at bookings@saltlinemesh.online.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• The site address, unit number, floor and access arrangements for your job.
• Panel measurements, mesh specifications and job notes.
• Quotes, invoices and payment records (we do not store full card numbers).
• Basic technical data from this website, such as browser type and pages viewed.

We do not collect sensitive information and we do not ask for it. Please do not send us health, financial or identity documents unless we have specifically requested them for a strata site induction.

3. How we collect it

Usually directly from you: the enquiry form on this site, a phone call, an email, a message through our social media pages, or a conversation on site. If a strata manager or building manager books us on your behalf, we may receive your contact details from them.

4. Why we use it

• To prepare quotes and schedule measures, removals and refits.
• To arrange building access, lift bookings and resident notices.
• To invoice you and keep records required by Australian tax law.
• To honour warranty claims and keep a mesh history for your panels.
• To send an annual salt-service reminder, if you have asked for one.

We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it. Any reminder email includes a one-click unsubscribe.

5. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with: your building manager, concierge or strata manager (to arrange access); our accounting and invoicing software provider; a courier where a panel needs transport; and government bodies where the law requires it. All providers are bound to use the information only for the service they supply to us.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our software providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles your information in a way consistent with the APPs.

7. Cookies and this website

This site uses only a small number of functional cookies and local storage entries required for the page to work (for example, remembering that you closed the mobile menu). We do not run advertising pixels or third-party behavioural tracking. Google Fonts is loaded from Google's servers to render our typefaces, which involves your browser making a request to Google. You can block cookies in your browser settings without breaking the site.

8. Security and retention

Job records are kept in password-protected cloud accounts with two-factor authentication and on paper job cards stored at our workshop. We keep quotes, invoices and warranty records for seven years to meet tax and warranty obligations, then securely destroy or de-identify them. Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within 24 months.

9. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by emailing bookings@saltlinemesh.online or calling 351 924 360 723. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge for a straightforward request.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will investigate. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our tools or obligations change. The current version always lives at this address, with the revision date shown at the top of the page.
